come up with a thought provoking and witty way to post about the flavors today? (Hey, that rhymed! Didn't mean to do that - LOL!)
No, I did not. Just my same, old boring post about the flavors. But you know our cupcakes are not the same, old boring cupcakes! They are baked fresh, from scratch, each and every day. Well, except for Monday. That's our day off.
So, without further ado...the flavors for today:
Chocolate Vanilla Big Orange Sherbet Key Lime Pie Snickers M & M The Elvis Banana Pudding
Wow, that's a lot of cupcakes today! Stop by and see us and take home a dozen! (You know you want to)
If you missed yesterday's new flavor (Bahama Mama) or even if you didn't, we've got a brand new flavor for you to try today: Nutty Buddy! Nutty Buddy is a vanilla cupcake with vanilla buttercream frosting, topped with chocolate and peanuts. Yum!
In case you were in doubt, yes, the flavors do keep getting awesomer (and, yes, that is a word, although perhaps not yet widely acknowledged)!
Come see us today, and don't forget to eat your cupcake first!
Since we were home with the massive snow storm, I decided to practice working with fondant and created a "dummy" cake.
A dummy cake is made using styrofoam for the "cake" part and decorated as you normally would. Lots of bakeries use these for displays and samples of their work.
This is a display cake I worked on. The bottom tier is 8", the top tier is 6" and both are covered in fondant. Fondant/Gumpaste bows and flowers. This was lots of fun and gave me a chance to practice my flowers.
