the pink and yellow.

It's a 6"/9" cake frosted in buttercream with
fondant and gumpaste decorations.
Matching dozen cupcakes.

Happy 1st Birthday Savannah!

Pink Puppy Princess Birthday Cake

Just finished up this cake for my niece's 3rd birthday party this afternoon. I asked her several months ago what kind of cake she wanted and after showing her several pics, she picked the puppy cake by Debbie Brown. I would periodically ask my SIL if she still wanted the puppy cake, and Josie was telling everyone that she was going to have a pink puppy princess birthday cake. (We have no idea where the princess part came from - lol!) So, you here you have the Pink Puppy Princess Birthday Cake!

I used the 6" half ball pan and the 8" soccer ball pan to make the puppy. Frosted in buttercream and covered in white chocolate fondant. There is chocolate cake, pink vanilla cake and strawberry cupcakes with bones, 3's and crowns.

Happy Birthday Josie!

Turtle Baby Shower Cake

Turtle cake for a baby shower. I love how the turtle turned
out....he's one of my favorite figures I've made!

It's an 8" chocolate cake frosted in vanilla buttercream.
Stripes and dots are fondant. Turtle is formed from krispy
cereal and then covered in fondant.

Welcome Baby Alex!

Boob Birthday Cake

Here's a naked Boob Birthday Cake.
I had a request for the name tattoo and I love
how it turned out!

It's a chocolate cake with buttercream frosting and
covered with white chocolate fondant. (The pink stars
were added in editing to protect the innocent!)

Check out the close up of the tattoo!

Thanks to Kerry's cake and cards for their inspiration cake.
Please be sure to check them out on Flickr.

Hot Air Balloon Birthday Cake

Here's another cake that's been in the planning stages
for several months now. A 1st birthday cake for my
nephew Matthew!

I used a soccer ball pan (about a 9" round) and a 10" square,
which I carved down to create the balloon. It's a yellow cake
with chocolate buttercream filling and then it was frosted
in vanilla buttercream. Covered in white chocolate fondant.
The "clouds" are lemon cupcakes with vanilla buttercream.
One of the cupcakes was used as a smash cake.
The elephant and other decorations are fondant & gumpaste.

Based on the cake design by Sweet Tiers.
Elephant based on elephant figures done by The CakeChef.
You can check them both out on Flickr.

I am thrilled with how this cake turned out!
Happy 1st Birthday Matthew!

Antique Floral Wedding Cake

I've been planning this cake for several months now, and
it was so exciting to see how it all came together!
I've had such fun working on all the details!
It's kinda got that antique, handmade ribbon flower vibe
to it. Plus all the little buttons and quilted details.

It's an 8"/10"/12" cake. Three different flavors of cake:
Vanilla, Lemon with lemon filling and chocolate
with raspberry filling. Frosted in buttercream and
then covered in white chocolate fondant. Piping work done
in royal icing.

These next pictures show some of the flower
and button details.
Everything was either dusted with color or hand painted.

Here's the Groom's Cake.
It's a 10" chocolate cake with chocolate filling.
Frosted in chocolate buttercream with dark
chocolate fondant. Piping done in royal icing.
The Turkey Call decoration topper was made from krispy
cereal and covered in fondant with hand painted details.

Next up are two additional cakes that were part
of the dessert table they had set up at the reception.

6" strawberry cake with strawberry filling.
Frosted in buttercream and covered in white chocolate
fondant. Piping in royal icing.

9" Chocolate chip cake with vanilla buttercream.
Frosted in buttercream then covered in white chocolate fondant.
Piping done in royal icing.

Congrats to Marcie & Adam!
