Hippity, hoppity...Easter's on its way!

I created these cupcakes for an Easter
gathering tomorrow.

They are Lemon Icebox cupcakes - they feature a graham
cracker crust, a moist lemon cake and vanilla
buttercream frosting. To top them off are
marshmallow bunnies and jelly bean eggs.

Happy Easter Everyone!

At the Ladybug Picnic....

These cupcakes were created for my cousin
Caroline for her 2nd birthday.

Vanilla cupcakes with buttercream frosting and
ladybug toppers made from fondant.

Happy Birthday Caroline!

(Does anyone else remember the Ladybug Picnic song from
Sesame Street? Not sure what made me think of that
when posting these. One, two, three, four, five......)

Gift Box Birthday Cakes

These cakes were for a surprise 65th
birthday party!

I decided to try out a new bow style for these cakes.

They are both 10" square cakes with buttercream
frosting and fondant decorations.

Happy Birthday Diane!

Pink Black & White Birthday Cake

I loved working on this 18th Birthday Cake.
I love the color combination and I really
like the font for the number topper.

(Plus, don't you think it had a French
vibe to it....oooo, la, la)

It's a 5"/8" cake frosted in buttercream
with fondant decorations.

Happy Birthday Courtney!

Blue & White Quilted Cake

I wanted to practice my piping skills, so I decided
to work on another dummy cake.

This is a 6"/8" styrofoam dummy covered in fondant
and then piped with royal icing. I used two different
designs on the bottom tier so I could practice three
different piped designs.

Owl Birthday Cake

Owl themed birthday parties are super popular right now,
and I got to create this cake for a 1st birthday party!

We focused on the pink and brown from the party plates
for the design of this cake.

It's a 5"/8"/12" cake frosted in buttercream with fondant
and gumpaste decorations. The smash cake is a 5" cake and
a 6" half ball cake that was slightly carved to help create the
owl shape. It's frosted in buttecream with a few candy pieces
for decorations.

Happy 1st Birthday Kailey!
